Privacy Policy
Hello and welcome to Gift It Different.
We're a small independent business that loves creating thoughtful gifts and personalised
keepsakes. Your trust means everything to us, so we promise to look after your personal
information with the same care and respect that we'd expect ourselves.
We've written this Privacy Policy in plain English because we believe you should be able to
understand exactly what happens to your information without having to read lots of complicated
legal wording.

The Information We Collect
We only ask for the information we genuinely need to look after your order. This may include your
name, address, email address, telephone number, delivery details and any personalisation details
you provide. We also collect basic website information such as cookies and your IP address so our
website works properly. We never store your full debit or credit card details.
Why We Need It
We use your information to make and personalise your order, keep you updated, deliver your
purchase, answer any questions, arrange refunds or replacements if needed, improve our website
and meet our legal responsibilities. If you choose to receive our emails, we'll occasionally send you
news, offers and product updates. You can unsubscribe whenever you like.
Photographs & Personalised Gifts
Many of our products are personalised using photographs, names or special messages supplied by
our customers.
Everything you send us is used only to create your order. We understand these photographs and
messages are personal, and we treat them with care.
Sometimes we'd love to share examples of our work on our website or social media because it
helps other customers see what we can create. If your order contains photographs of people,
names, special messages or anything that could identify you or your family, we'll always ask for
your permission before sharing it.
If you'd rather we never photograph or share your order, simply let us know when you place it. We'll
happily respect your wishes.
Once your order has been completed, we'll only keep your photographs or artwork for as long as
necessary to complete your order, deal with any questions about it or provide after-sales support.
They won't be kept any longer than needed.
Who We Share Information With
To complete your order we may share limited information with trusted companies such as payment
providers, delivery couriers and website service providers. They only receive the information they
need to do their job. We never sell, rent or trade your personal information.
Keeping Your Information Safe
We use trusted providers and sensible security measures to help keep your information safe. Only
people who genuinely need your information to process your order can access it.
Cookies
Like most websites, we use cookies to help our website work properly, remember your preferences
and understand how visitors use our website. You can manage your cookie preferences through
your web browser.
Your Rights
You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, request that we delete it
where appropriate or ask us to stop sending marketing emails at any time. If you ever have any
concerns, please get in touch and we'll do our best to help.
