We're delighted you've found us.
Gift It Different is a small independent family business based in Carlisle, Cumbria, run by auntie and niece, Michelle and Sam. We design, print and carefully create a wide range of personalised gifts and keepsakes from our workshop, where every order is prepared with care and attention to detail.
Our Story
Gift It Different began around eight years ago when Michelle decided on a new career after leaving nursing. What started as a passion for creating thoughtful, personalised gifts has grown into a business that we're incredibly proud of.
Around three years ago Sam joined the business, bringing fresh ideas, creativity and plenty of enthusiasm. Working together as a family has allowed us to grow our range while keeping the personal service that means so much to us.
What We Do
Although we both enjoy getting involved in every part of the business, we each have our own specialities.
Michelle creates many of our sublimation products, including mugs, coasters, cushions, lap trays, water bottles and many of our personalised gifts.
Sam specialises in our clothing collection, creating personalised T-shirts, hoodies, baby clothing and vinyl printed products.
Everything is designed, printed and carefully finished from our workshop in Carlisle.
Inspired by Life
Many of our products have a story behind them.
Our healthcare collection was inspired by Michelle's years working as a nurse, while our diabetes range has grown from Sam's own experience of living with Type 1 diabetes.
Other ideas have come directly from customer requests, and our recent adventures at local markets, agricultural shows and music festivals have inspired many of our newest collections.
Meeting Our Customers
More recently we've expanded beyond our workshop and now enjoy attending markets, shows and festivals with our gazebo. Meeting customers face-to-face, hearing your stories and seeing your reactions to our products has become one of the most enjoyable parts of what we do. It's also where many of our new product
ideas begin!
